Kristine Schaefer

Kristine Schaefer works with leaders around the world helping them expertly convey their vision and strategies and win competitive advantage for their companies.

Throughout her career, Kristine worked with over 100 companies in U.S., Europe, the U.K. and Asia; including Hewlett-Packard, Charles Schwab, Wyeth, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Johnson & Johnson, Sanofi Aventis, Stanford University, AMD, Autodesk, Comcast, and Mattel.

Her clients have appeared on Good Morning America, Prime Time, CNN, CNBC, NBC Nightly News, Fox News, and top business and mass-market publications in major international markets.

In her coaching sessions and workshops, Kristine creates an encouraging and safe environment where clients feel free to take risks, break unproductive patterns and make bolder and better choices in their leadership and communications abilities. By making each session powerful and engaging, her foremost objective is to quickly and efficiently help clients achieve their goals.

Prior to launching her coaching career in 1999, Kristine was a vice president at The Weber Group, now Weber Shandwick, a global communications firm, where she was a senior communications counselor to an $8 billion division of IBM; to high-tech start-ups; and to top trade and government officials in Asia.

While earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota in International Relations, she immersed herself in Chinese culture by studying Mandarin at Nankai University in Tianjin, China. She enhanced her knowledge of Chinese at National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei, Taiwan.

Kristine began her career in Taiwan in 1986, joining Taiwan-based Acer Inc., the third largest PC manufacturer in the world. Returning to the U.S in 1987, she managed public relations for the company’s North American Sales and Marketing division. Kristine spent the next decade in public relations agency and consulting work with established companies and start-ups.

In addition to coaching, Kristine serves as a strategic advisor to The Women’s Initiative for Self-Employment, a non-profit dedicated to ending poverty through the creation of women-owned micro-enterprises.
